It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kotagala for once again placing their trust in me to serve as the Chairman of the Kotagala Pradeshiya Sabha. The Kotagala Pradeshiya Sabha was newly established in 2018, marking a significant milestone in the local governance of our region. I had the honour of being elected as the first Chairman of this newly formed Sabha and proudly served from 2018 to 2023. During my initial term, I took every effort to uplift the living standards of our people through numerous development projects that focused on essential infrastructure, accessibility, and social well-being. Among the many services rendered, I am particularly proud of initiating programs such as providing nutritional packs for pregnant mothers and the development of the e-Nenapiyasa unit at the Kotagala Public Library, which opened new doors for knowledge and digital literacy in our community. As Chairman, I also ensured that efficient and transparent public services were delivered to all residents through the Sabha. The feedback and support I received from the public affirmed that we were moving in the right direction. It is with great honour that I share – in recognition of these efforts – the people of Kotagala once again entrusted me with their mandate in the 2025 Local Government Elections, giving me the opportunity to serve them once more. I wish to assure all citizens that I remain fully committed and dedicated to continuing the journey of development and good governance. In this new term, I am determined to undertake even more impactful development projects, improve public service delivery, and work closely with the people to build a more prosperous and inclusive Kotagala. Let us move forward together, united in purpose, to create a better tomorrow for every resident of Kotagala Pradeshiya Sabha territory.
